Thank you for being so understanding while spray-tanning someone who constantly complained and spouted lines about why perpetrating a negative body-image stereotype was so damaging to young audience members. For the limited time you had available, and the Spartan resources at hand, you did a wonderful job.

Awesome work, with the photos – I have that tingly feeling of anticipation in my spine, just between the L3 and L4 vertibrae. Or it could be rheumatoid arthritis. Anyway, I’d love to see some photos of the complete costumes, too.

The Fribbled Breg is an example to show parallel question construction, and to open your mind to the possibility of reading around a question in order to help you solve it. It is not a magical technique that will make you pass something through an algorithm. Of course, if the person who set the test knows parallel question construction, then it is likely to be far harder to use psychology to answer the questions.

Best of luck with your exams though.

I’ve got a window of opportunity to study fribbled breg.

Do you seriously think it is a legitimate and dependable way to answer multi choice, or were you just having fun with 1st yr eng students?

I’ve had a quick google but was unable to pull up any solid sources on how to learn it. If it is legit could you please direct me?

I still remember the dodgy fake Pikachu card I found in chinatown years ago. It claimed Pikachu weighed 9kg! I often thing of poor Ash in this alternate Poke-verse, he must have cripling back and neck issues from carrying that hefty little critter around on his shoulder all day!

It’s an interesting one – I’m a girl and I always play avatars that are girls that look like me. It probably stems from deep-seated desire to give up my day job and instead zoom round the universe in a pimped-out spaceship shooting things in the face – but alas, I do not have a spaceship and if the latest NASA discoveries are anything to go by, any astrobiology out there probably wouldn’t have a face to shoot anyway. So me-based avatar it is. Therefore it annoys me when they only give you a choice of boy avatars – *I* want to ambush the Nazi base, I don’t want some thick-necked bad-haircut to do it and get all the credit.

It’s also annoying when many of the games where you can play as a woman the other characters and storyline do not necessarily change to accommodate. I have found my character in a number of accidental lesbian trysts, which in itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing – I just wish I had a choice!

And on the topic of female characters in games – even though I’ll play as a girl, my units are almost always entirely made up of men. I had heaps of trouble at the beginning of ME coming to grips with Ashley being my best fighter – it just seemed really weird hiding behind something and flinging this tiny girl at a room full of machine-gun toting baddies. But she’s a tank! I perhaps would not have taken as much notice of that character if it was male – which I suppose is just as chauvinist, if I ignore the boys on my team why should I make a fuss of her fighting ability just because she’s a girl?
